2.1 What Are Campaigns?
A campaign is the main container inside Google Ads.
Each campaign controls:
- Where ads show
- Which location is targeted
- How much budget is spent
- What searches can trigger the ads
- What ad message users see
- What landing page users visit
- What goal the campaign is optimized for
For this project, each campaign should be built around a clear location or service theme.
Recommended campaign structure
| Campaign | Purpose | Target area |
|---|---|---|
| Lubbock Hail Repair | Generate repair leads in Lubbock | Lubbock and nearby service areas |
| McKinney / Collin County Hail Repair | Generate repair leads in Collin County | McKinney, Collin County, and nearby areas |
| Azle Hail Repair | Generate repair leads in Azle | Azle and nearby service areas |
| Insurance Claim Help | Capture searches related to hail insurance claims | All service areas |
| Brand Search | Capture people searching directly for Integrity Hail Solutions | All service areas |
Example campaign
Campaign: Lubbock Hail Repair
This campaign targets people near Lubbock who are searching for vehicle hail repair.
Possible keywords:
hail repair Lubbockauto hail repair Lubbockpaintless dent repair Lubbockcar hail damage repair near mePDR Lubbock
The ad should send users to a Lubbock-focused landing page or the most relevant service page.
Why campaigns are separated by location
Separating campaigns by location helps us understand which market is working best.
It lets us answer questions like:
- Is Lubbock producing more leads than Azle?
- Is McKinney more expensive but higher quality?
- Which location should get more budget after a storm?
- Which city needs better ad copy or landing page improvements?
This makes the account easier to manage and easier to improve.
